‘A most un-self-conscious, positive, humorous and
adventurous older woman...’ Daily Telegraph

DAILY TELEGRAPH

Wendy’s toyboy adventures began at forty-two, when she was an attractive, twice divorced mother of two teenage daughters. One New Year’s Eve, high in the Swiss Alps and high on alcohol, Wendy inadvertently found herself writhing naked underneath a nineteen-year-old. That first drink from the fountain of youth proved so intoxicating, she developed an unquenchable thirst, and for the next two decades, she continued to have sex and relationships with much younger men.

As she puts it herself: “I like older men but I couldn’t eat a whole one. A younger man? That’s another story.” This funny, warm, sexy, candid and bittersweet reflection on the high and lows of autumn/spring liaisons tells the story of the fastest growing trend in Noughties society.

As a wickedly entertaining recipe for sensuous success it will be devoured hungrily by every woman of a certain age. Think Helen Mirren rather than the Queen…

The Critics

  "Fabulously glamorous..." Evening Standard
"Wendy Salisbury, divorced and dressed up to the nine-and-a-half weeks, conducts a campaign of
military precision to find a new man with whom to see in the New Year. ‘Mission accomplished’ she says
afterwards, looking like a sleek panther after a large meal."
Emma Soames - The Observer
